Dear Reinhard,
I wish to congratulate you upon your receiving this commemorative plaque from the Veterans of our American Legion Post100 !
We of Post100 fully understand the magnitude of your work! To create this 'History Book' you have given many hours and considerable amounts of your resources. Your website is the only place where so much history of the U.S. military activities in Berlin from 1945 until 1994 can be found in so much detail.
Your hard work and passion has created the premier source of information and photographs documenting these activities. The website is not only a 'History Book', but also a wonderful 'Memory Garden' where Berlin veterans can reach back into in the past and once again become a young man, if only for a very short time, to remember and re-live our youth.
This is priceless to us!
You have also authored two books about your experiences during the 'Cold War' years.
Congratulation, my friend! I am honored to have you as my friend!
Lloyd -Gene- Keller

Dear Reinhard,
it's my privilege to congratulate you upon your receipt of this commemorative plaque presented by U.S. Veterans of American Legion Post 100, Ocilla, Georgia, USA.
Those of us associated with Post 100 are aware of your magnificent efforts to research and record history of U.S. Forces in occupied West Berlin during the Cold War. Your work has not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by this award from Post 100. The fact that you've authored and published two books about your experiences during that period is testimony to your dedication.
Your website has become the world's finest documented history of U.S. military activities in Berlin, 1945 -1994.
The time, expense, and effort you expend in website development and maintenance are extraordinary !
Again, my sincere congratulations. Keep on the good work !
Yours truly,
John Parmenter

Dear Reinhard:
Extending this honorable gesture the members of the American Legion Post 100, Ocilla, GA thank you for your continued, selfless and truly extraordinary work to keep alive memories of the military service of Berlin Veterans. Not only does your Website stir memories for so many soldiers and airmen serving in Berlin during the Cold War, but helps recall untold sentiments that have rekindled old friendships from years gone by and thought lost forever. I interpret the message sent with this recognition as one of deep respect, adoration and sincere thanks by Post 100, and if I may, I dare say by anyone who drops in to see your wonderful site. For that I say thank you to our fellow Veterans of Post 100, and hasten to add my sincere gratitude to you, dear Reinhard, your family and 'staff' who assist, support and, encourage you to continue with your unmatched devotion and hard work.
You truly are 'one-of-a-kind' who will long live in the minds of us Old Veterans. There is no one that I know who could 'carry your coat' much less match what you have done. The expression on your face holding the plaque speaks volumes. Many thanks and I am very happy for you. If I would be in Berlin I would take you and Heinz for a few cool Kindl beer to your Greek restaurant. (big smile). Vielen Dank mein Freund !
