Overview of the selected stories |
On October 7, 2009, my website 'Berlin-Brigade-Memories' had its 7th 'Birthday'.
By this reason I've added a special gift for all my website fans. You have the opportunity now to read
selected stories of my revised edition of my first book: 'Growing up with American GI's'. In that revised
version I also have added some new stories. Unfortunately it never got printed this way because of lack
of a publisher.
My self-made books are all gone, without a publisher no more follow.
April 2010, Berlin veteran Col. Wes Polender has surprised me with a nice deed. He has revised again
all my stories, and 'shaped them up a bit' , so to speak. The original translation once was made by an
British interpreter. Later I've tried by myself to replace the 'Oxfort' English by more American
slang, but as German I've touched my 'limits' soon.
Many THANKS, Wes, for your kind support !
