Photos of coins related to the Berlin Brigade
- Challenge, Honor & Memory coins -
You see various front & back sides.
The front sides of most Challenge coins look like
the very first one of my display.
Almost at the end is a similar one but in different color.
Not all coins seem to be authentic, some could be fakes
or were created after the BBDE has departed Berlin.
But all of them follow my goal: Let's never forget the Berlin Brigade !

Info about Challenge coin rules taken from
globalsecurity Military Challenge Coin
Challenge coin rules only apply to other individuals who also have a challenge coin. A holder of a challenge coin may "challenge" any individual who is known to have a coin. A challenge is made by withdrawing a coin and raising it in the air or by tapping it on a bar or table. The individual who is challenged is required to produce their coin within 60 seconds. If the individual produces the coin, the challenger is obligated to buy them a drink. If the challenged individual fails to produce the coin, they are obligated to buy the drink. The reward does NOT have to be an alcoholic beverage. It can be a soda or any other reward that the two individuals agree on. If a coin is dropped and it hits the floor, the owner is obligated to buy drinks for anyone who hears or sees the coin hit the floor. Coin challengers are known to strike anywhere at anytime. They insidiously stalk the challenge, waiting for just the right moment to attack. An innocent bystander may never hear the challenge - only the challengee's despairing cry, "... Ah ! ...I forgot mine!

Remark by Admin / Berlin-Brigade-Memories:
The Berlin Brigade had various coins. I'm sure that I have not seen all of them & I do not know when the issue in Berlin has started. Sometimes you can find BBDE coins on Ebay & as told before, not all of them seem to be authentic.
There are always & everywhere clever people who like to make easy cash with souvenir items.
The first coins couple in my photo serie was sometimes presented as gift by USCOB. I once have got such one after escorting General Suddath by MP patrol to his home. He put it with a smile in my hands when we had completed our mission. A few of my MP / GP colleagues had similar luck. I suppose that also unit commanders had related coins to honor their troops.
The nice MP coin in my display I have got from the Provost Marshal after I had joined 10 duty years as 'Golf Papa' at PMO / Andrews Bks. ( 1980 - 1990 ) This was an especially honor to appreciate my teamwork.
If somebody has Berlin Brigade coins which images are not in the following serie, please take photos & send them to me. Maybe I can add them to this section.
